Religious festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Dasarah, Ramjan and Christmas are celebrated with fervor in Hyderabad. Shilparamam, a crafts village created by the Tourism Department of Andhra Pradesh celebrates Annual Crafts Festivals in March and December where all the rural handicrafts and arts of Andhra Pradesh and other States in the Country are show-cased. The Tourism Department also organizes Lumbini festival for three days starting from the 2nd week of December at Nagarjuna Sagar and Hyderabad highlighting the Buddha age.

Just next door to the Golconda Fort are the royal cemeteries of the Qutub Shahi kings. The seven tombs are surrounded by beautiful gardens of Ibrahim Bagh.
